Board of Directors
Frank and Pam Kroehler, Camp Directors
Frank and Pam strongly believe that Faith Adventure Camp offers a unique opportunity to campers, allowing them to experience God through excellent, Christ-centered teaching and fun age-appropriate activities while surrounded by the beauty of His creation in nature.
They began their journey of service at camp in 1986, with Frank as a counselor and Pam in the kitchen as a cook. Through the years, Frank also worked as an Activity Specialist and all-around servant at girls camp. At the same time, Pam joined the camp staff as nurse for both boys and girls week, as well as a sewing Activity Specialist. She also served (and continues to serve) as storyteller, retelling inspirational biographies of real-life heroes of the faith. In 2016, Frank and Pam became Camp Directors and continue to look forward to seeing God work in the lives of boys and girls at Faith Adventure Camp each summer.
Their passion for instilling God’s word and love into young hearts extends beyond Faith Adventure Camp and they have been active in teaching Sunday School and spending many years as Directors and Leaders in AWANA.
Frank and Pam have two grown children and six grandchildren, most of whom have attended and served at Faith Adventure Camp as well. They are fondly known to their grandkids, and now to many years of campers, as Mimi and Poppy.
Dave AND Gigi Frazier
Dave has been associated with Faith Adventure Camp for nearly 24 years. His first two years, he served as a senior counselor then made the move to the kitchen with his wife Gigi. Throughout the years Dave's duties have changed and now he finds himself taking care of the paperwork and incoming finances for all campers and staff. Additionally, he helps with pre-camp shopping and picks up, returns and loads the truck that carries enough food and supplies for both weeks from the valley to the mountains. Dave is known for his great, big heart, contagious laughter and humble service to Christ and the church. FAC will always be an important part of Dave's life.
Gigi began cooking at Faith Adventure Camp in 2000 while all four of her children were attending camp. Now her children are grown but she continues to serve in the kitchen, making sure everyone is well fed and well loved. Shortly after [2001], she began serving as a board member; planning, recruiting and supporting staff personnel. Although camp is only two weeks during the summer, working and preparing for FAC is a year-round project that is close to her heart. Before camp even starts you can find her doing everything from administrative tasks with her husband Dave to menu planning, food prep and shopping, as well as, cheerfully helping staff, parents and campers with anything and everything they may need. Gigi loves Faith Adventure Camp and believes it is a wonderful place for children to experience Jesus and learn who He is in the beautiful surroundings of God's creation! Because of this passion, you will often find Gigi going above and beyond to make sure every child, teen and adult at camp is cared for and having a great time.
Kathleen Parra
Kathleen’s earliest memories include helping her grandpa take care of the camp property at Mountain Meadow Ranch Bible Camp which is the home of Faith Adventure Camp. Since her grandparents founded Mountain Meadow Ranch, Kathleen grew up with camp as her home away from home and had the opportunity to spend many summers attending various camps, including attending Faith Adventure Camp since it’s beginning in 1984. Throughout those years, the summers outdoors in the beauty of God’s creation and the mentors at Faith Adventure Camp helped to develop her love for Jesus and heart for giving other kids the opportunity to experience camp as well. After graduating from being a camper, Kathleen began serving on staff as a junior counselor and activity helper and then as a senior counselor. After taking a few years off during college and getting married, she took on the role of camp nurse in 2004 with a toddler and baby in tow and has continued that role each summer since as her kids have grown up. Kathleen also began serving as a girls’ camp senior counselor in 2012 and enjoys spending the weeks encouraging the girls to seek a personal relationship with Jesus and to live out their faith each day when they get home from camp. She has 3 kids who have all attended camp every year and are following in her footsteps serving at camp now that they are older. Kathleen joined the board of Faith Adventure Camp in 2020 and is committed to seeing the ministry continue giving kids the opportunity to get away from distractions and grow their faith! Her favorite parts of camp are worshipping God with the campers out under the stars and enjoying the delicious camp food without having to cook for two weeks!
Kari Koglmeier
In recent years, Kari has served Faith Adventure Camp by creating and writing our curriculum. This includes teaching material, discussion questions and daily devotionals. She has also been our Bible Adventure teacher for girls’ week and Activities Coordinator and Photographer for both girls’ and boys’ weeks. Kari has been a part of camp for more than three decades; first as a camper, a junior counselor and a senior counselor. Later, after having kids of her own, Kari served as a kitchen assistant before transitioning to teaching and creating curriculum. Kari and her husband Scott have four children (and a son-in-law) who, although no longer camper age, continue to be a part of camp whenever and however they can.
Kari earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and taught in the Gilbert Public School District before taking some time as a stay-at-home mom. She later worked as Grade School Director in a local church and spent many years serving alongside her parents in the AWANA Sparks program. Currently, Kari works as Kids Coordinator of Curriculum and Special Events at her home church in Gilbert. Her greatest passion is to bring the truth of the gospel to the next generation through the teaching of God’s word, loving discipleship and experiences that point to Jesus.
PAULA CARRUTH
Paula has been involved with Faith Adventure Camp for approximately 17 years. She began as a senior counselor for her daughter's cabin. Later, she went on to serve as an activity specialist, special needs aide and all around camp servant. Finally, she landed in the kitchen working with kids and staff that required special meals. This is the perfect niche for her as her own kids have multiple food allergies and her youngest has Celiac. She successfully navigated special foods before they were widely available. God has used this knowledge to enable her to effectively serve many kids so that they can safely attend Faith Adventure Camp. Her own kids weren't always able to attend camp because of their special diets and she is happy to help make it possible for Faith Adventure Camp to say yes to kids who have dietary restrictions. She is honored to make camp possible for these kids so that they can hear teaching from God's word, spend time in his beautiful creation and learn of his great love for them. She loves that at camp they have time to "be still and know that he is God". She even goes as far as to call her time at camp her working vacation because she loves her job and all that Faith Adventure Camp is. Paula's children are grown and she is now a very blessed grandmother with five precious grandchildren who call her Meme. She is looking forward to the day when she can bring them to Faith Adventure Camp.
